Mia's Top Tip

Fold a sheet of A4 paper in half then open back out, lay your card on a sheet paper before you add the glitter.

Shake the excess glitter of onto the paper, lift both sides carefully so the glitter gathers along the central crease.

You can now easily pour the excess back into your glitter pot.

Creative Valentine Ideas Tutorial

If you are using pre-cut card blanks you can miss this step.

Divide your piece of card into 3 equal sections. Cut a circle out of the middle section.

The right side of the card will be folded back and glued to the center section.

You may need to trim a little bit off the right side of the card so it fits nicely.

Fold the right side of the card under the center section and glue your heart shape in the center of the aperture.

Open the card back out and apply glue to the entire center section. Sprinkle glitter over the glue.

Cover with scrap piece of paper and gently press down on the glitter.

Lift the card carefully, gently tapping it to remove the excess glitter.

If you have gaps in the glitter, apply more glue and then more glitter until the front of the card is completely covered.

Carefully turn the card over and apply glue to the other side of the center section.

Fold the heart shape side over and press firmly onto the glue.

Try decorating with felt tip pens, wax crayons or coloring pencils.

You can add ready printed card shapes, these can be bought with pictures or messages on them.

Cut shapes out of felt and craft foam or add ribbons and lace.

You can also try pre-printed stickers or cut out shapes from sticky paper.

If you are feeling really creative you could try your hand at writing a special Valentine's poem.
