Paper Folding Techniques

Mia's paper folding techniques will show you general ideas on how to fold paper for various craft ideas.

Folding diagrams for a four or eight point snowflake



Fold a square piece of paper in half diagonally.




Fold in half again as in diagram.




Fold in half again for a four point fold.




Fold in half again for an eight point fold.

Folding diagrams for a six point snowflake




Fold a square piece of paper in half diagonally.



Fold into three equal sections.
The easiest way to do this is to use the 6 point fold template.

Position it where the central triangle is in the diagram and lightly mark along each side.



Another way to do this is to fold in half as in step 2 for a 4 or 8 point fold.

Open back out as in the diagram. Use a protractor to measure 300 either side of the crease you have made.
Fold the top corner over the central triangle.




Fold the bottom corner back over the central triangle.
