Geometric Coloring Pages

Choose one of these geometric coloring pages to download and escape from the world for a while.  There are a few simple designs but most of them have really intricate patterns to color.

If you are looking for stress relief ideas or just want something to pass the time then try these geometric patterns.

Coloring is a great way to take your mind of your troubles for a while.

The concentration required to keep between the lines and the simple repetive motion of the coloring pencils helps to create a meditative state of mind and body.

It's a great way to relax and unwind.

There is no expensive materials or equipment to buy, all you need is a selection of colored pens or pencils and one of my coloring sheets.

There are 12 different designs to choose from and you can print as many of them as you want. Make it a family activity, there are plenty of designs to suit all ages and abilities.

Mia's Top Tip

You can print these patterns on regular printer paper.

Children often press hard on the paper when trying to keep in the lines and regular paper can tear.

Felt tip pens can bleed through the back of thin paper so make sure you put a plain sheet of paper behind your design to protect your work surface.

You might want to try printing them on thin card if your printer can take card.

Printing the designs on card also keeps your work from getting creased or ripped. You can frame your finished work easily as well.

Printing the Template

Most printers will allow you to print directly on to thin card. If you are using patterned card make sure that you print on the plain side. If your printer will only allow you to print on paper then there are a couple of different ways to transfer the template to card.

One way is to glue the paper template to the card you can use any type of glue suitable for paper. Spread the glue thinly across the card then lower the paper on top. Smooth out carefully removing any air bubbles. Make sure the glue is completely dry before cutting.

The other way will only work if you are printing a template that is easy to reproduce. Secure the paper to the card with tape, using a pencil and ruler if drawing straight lines, go over the lines on the template. Press hard enough to mark the card but not so hard you make holes in the paper.
