Printable Easter cards are really easy to make with my downloadable templates.
You can use anything from crayons to glitter or sequins and beads, to decorate your egg shapes.
This is a great Easter crafts for kids, they will have lots of fun decorating the plain eggs on the template.
You can print the template out as many times as you like. Experiment with lots of different decorating materials, let your imagination run free.
Using a pre-folded card blank makes this project very quick.
If you don't have any you can easily make your own.
Fold a sheet of A4 card in half and use the edge of a closed pair of scissors to sharply crease the fold.
Most printers will allow you to print directly on to thin card. If you are using patterned card make sure that you print on the plain side. If your printer will only allow you to print on paper then there are a couple of different ways to transfer the template to card.
One way is to glue the paper template to the card you can use any type of glue suitable for paper. Spread the glue thinly across the card then lower the paper on top. Smooth out carefully removing any air bubbles. Make sure the glue is completely dry before cutting.
The other way will only work if you are printing a template that is easy to reproduce. Secure the paper to the card with tape, using a pencil and
ruler if drawing straight lines, go over the lines on the template. Press hard enough to mark the
card but not so hard you make holes in the paper.
Decorate the front of the card using one or more of the shapes on the template.
Keep the 2 halves of the egg for inside the card.
Decorate the two halves of the egg.
Color in the Happy Easter writing on the template.
Fix the springs to the back of each word.
You will find the instructions to make the springs here, follow steps 2 to 6. This link will open in a new window so you won't lose this page.
Glue the two halves to the inside of the card leaving a space in between them.
Glue the Happy Easter writing in between the two egg halves like shown in the photo.
You can decorate the egg shapes in lots of different ways.
Here I have used die cut shapes and sequins but you could try coloring pens or pencils.
Scraps of ribbon or yarn would look great too.
For young children you could draw on circles or lines for them to color in.
Try decorating just the egg shapes on both sides.
Fix a loop of thread to the top of each egg.
Thread them onto a piece a string to make a pretty Easter banner.
